Classroom Hive Escape
I have an indoor hive. One of the plexiglass windows was damaged and bees were escaping. In my panic, I used regular caulking to seal up the hole and then around each window to prevent this from happening again. I now have many dead bees. Was the caulking a bad idea? Or was it a traumatic event that is causing my bees to die?

Hello, the caulking most likely contains chemicals toxic to bees, especially if it didn’t get to fully dry.
